The gound total electric field strength is an important factor for measurement of HVDC power transmission and transformation facilities, STT‘s HDEM-1 offers engineers to test on-site professionally, accurately and conveniently. HDEM-1 Total Electric Field Measurement System is designed based on Canada Boltek's probe which complies with relevant China standards. HDEM-1 Total Electric Field Measurement System is a tailoring product for the measurement of high-voltage DC. Various on-site environmental complexities are fully considered in the process of product design in order to make the test activities as convenient and easy as possible, therefore on-site measurement can be located in few minutes.

The test probe of the system includes a ball bearing brushless motor and a field mill speed monitoring system which keeps the probe stable. Due to harsh environment on-site, such as dust, rain and other inevitable factors, the macro-gap (anti-pollution technology) is designed to avoid harsh environment to influence the operation of product. The probe can be used no matter weather is rainy or dusty.
